Did you notice the Spider-Man deep cut in the Vision Quest trailer?
E.D.I.T.H. in the Vision Quest trailer from Marvel Television feels a lot like Peter Parker

Marvel Television and Animation certainly made a splash at New York Comic Con 2025, showcasing trailers like Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again season 2, X-Men '97 season 2, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2, and, of course, Vision Quest. The series starring Paul Bettany and James Spader will be out next year, and NYCC 2025 marked the first time that footage from the show was screened for the public. The energy in the room was off the charts!
In the first few seconds of the trailer, we see that the A.I.s in the MCU now have humanoid forms, just like Vision himself, who now looks like normal human Paul Bettany. One thing that caught our attention was E.D.I.T.H., played by actress Emily Hampshire, who brings a Spidey sensibility when she quite literally swings into frame. E.D.I.T.H. has a pair of goggles on her face that recall the ones that Peter Parker wore with the first iteration of his Spider-Man suit, seen briefly in Captain America: Civil War and later in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Once E.D.I.T.H. lands in frame, she says something quippy that wouldn't be outside the wheelhouse of something Peter Parker would say. Out of all the A.I.s we meet in the Vision Quest trailer, E.D.I.T.H. comes across as the most approachable.
So in other words, E.D.I.T.H.'s personality certainly seems to have been impacted by who she was created to help: Spider-Man. Let's remember, E.D.I.T.H. first showed up in Spider-Man: Far From Home, through a pair of glasses that Tony Stark gifted to Peter after his death ("Even dead, I'm the hero" is her acronym, after all). It's only natural that a bit of the ol' Parker scrappiness would rub off on E.D.I.T.H. That is the central deal with Vision, considering that his version in the MCU is forged from both Tony Stark's mind and that of Ultron. We love a bit of thematic consistency here.
(Characters getting imprinted by Spider-Man? I'm reminded of the Spider-Man/Venom cover in Whatnot's Year in Marvel '25 pack, available here at NYCC 2025 and online during the show.)
Marvel Studios hasn't dropped the Vision Quest trailer yet online, but I hope for all of your sakes that they do so soon. It looked great.
