Amidst the dystopian YA boom of the 2010s, few authors created worlds that not only became a series beloved by fans, but also made it to the big screen. One of those authors was the creator of Divergent, Veronica Roth.
Also the author of the coming of age tale Chosen Ones and scifi Antigone adaptation Arch-Conspirator, Roth has toured the country speaking on her success and instructing aspiiring fantasy authors. Recently, her travels brought her to Seattle, specifically Emerald City Comic Con 2024, where Roth took part in conversation with fellow author Alexandra Oliva. And since we're pretty fond of dystopian literature ourselves, we filmed it.
