Watch Umbrella Academy actor Robert Sheehan's full spotlight panel from MCM London Comic Con

Klaus Hargreeves himself, Robert Sheehan, joined us at the MCM London Comic Con in May 2022 for a wide-ranging conversation about Umbrella Academy, The Misfits, life in the strange times with live in, and a bit of adult humor. And yes, we have the entire panel for you to watch.

In an-hour long conversation panel with the most excellent Claire Lim, Robert Sheehan spoke freely about the recently-released third season of Umbrella Academy.

"I just watched it actually. I just finished watching it. It’s brilliant. It’s really, really brilliant," Sheehan told us. "It's really dark. It's very dark. I would say possibly the darkest season we’ve had so far. There’s a lot of loss in it. There’s a lot of 'who am I?' There’s a lot of pain and anguish. There’s a lot of that going on."

Sheehan went on to describe how it is filming Umbrella Academy, and like any great actor, he has a way with words.

"When we make Umbrella Academy or any of those things we just go into a studio in an industrial estate and come out six months later blinking going, 'I'm not sure what the fuck we’ve made there. I dunno,'" Sheehan says.

Sheehan says he felt a tremendous response to his character after Umbrella Academy's second season, particularly from queer fans.

"Got a lot of young LGBTQ people coming up to me and saying that Klaus’ journey is really, really, really meaningful to them, and I go ‘Shit! That’s fantastic!'" says the actor. "You know you’re doing something right."
