Disney+'s Willow is a new streaming series 35-years-in-making sequel to the iconic 1988 movie Willow. Anticipation for Willow has been high among the Popverse staff so Ashley Victoria Robinson has curated a list of things you need to know in case you haven't seen the original film and want to be able to enjoy the upcoming series.

Original cast members Warwick Davis and Joanne Whalley reprise their roles as Willow and Sorsha, respectively, though much of the cast - and just who they are playing - has yet to be revealed in this deep dive continuation of a sequel. They are joined by A24 horror mainstay Ralph Ineson as Commander Ballantine, Ruby Cruz (Mare of Easttown), Erin Kellyman (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Ellie Bamber (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), and Christian Slater in a yet unnamed role.
