Disney's Wish features a star-studded cast, with Chris Pine, Harvey Guillén, and Ariana DeBose and more showing up

When you wish upon a (Hollywood) star (or more than one, in this case)

If the last 100 years of Disney animation is anything to go by, there really is a deep power in wishes. This is probably why the company is marking its centennial with a film simply titled Wish. As has become standard in animated films, the cast is filled with more stars than have been wished upon, with some big names stepping into the booth to bring these characters to life.

Wish takes place in the Kingdom of Rosas, where a 17-year-old Asha makes a wish upon a star, which is answered by a star with the slightly on-the-nose name of Star. Together, the two must help rid Rosas of the darkness that has been rising within it and free the wishes of the people from its ruler, King Magnifico.

The cast of Wish includes Ariana Debose, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Anita in 2021’s West Side Story, and Chris Pine. As has become a tradition in every Disney film since 2012’s Wreck-It-Ralph, Alan Tudyk provides the voice of a supporting character in Wish.

The full cast of Wish is:

  • Ariana DeBose as Asha
  • Chris Pine as King Magnifico
  • Alan Tudyk as Valentino the Goat
  • Angelique Cabral as Queen Amaya
  • Victor Garber as Sabino
  • Natasha Rothwell as Sakina
  • Jennifer Kumiyama as Dahlia
  • Evan Peters as Simon
  • Harvey Guillén as Gabo
  • Ramy Youssef as Safi
  • Niko Vargas as Hal
  • Della Saba as Bazeema
  • Jon Rudnitsky as Dario

That's quite a line-up. Wondering what Wish looks like? Here's a trailer.
