Avengers is crossing over with manga classic Silent Möbius in 2026, with creator Kia Asamiya himself penning and drawing the Marvel Comics special
This wasn't a comic book crossover we expected to see in 2026, but Silent Möbius is back and it is teaming up with The Avengers.

The world of Marvel’s Avengers is growing in an unexpected direction. The team has had some pretty interesting team-ups over the years. While Spider-Man is about to hang out with Superman (again), the Avengers are crossing over with manga series Silent Möbius, whose creator, Kia Asamiya, is returning to write and draw the new Silent Möbius x Avengers crossover series.
For fans who aren’t familiar with Silent Möbius, it is a manga series that ran from 1989 to 1999 and follows a team of female police officers tasked with protecting the residents of Tokyo from extra-dimensional creatures from a world called Nemesis. Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski announced Silent Möbius x Avengers at Tokyo Comic Con, with a Spring 2026 release date planned.
We don’t have many details about the plot of the new Avengers crossover comic, but we do know that the release is seemingly exclusively a US release, with no Japanese release for Silent Möbius x Avengers currently planned. Asamiya, who wrote and drew the original Silent Möbius manga, is collaborating with Marvel on the story and will be handling the line art and coloring for the series. Cebulski will serve as editor.
This isn’t the first time that Kia Asamiya has worked with Western comic companies. He worked on the official manga adaptation for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and has worked with both Marvel Comics and DC Comics before.
Silent Möbius x Avengers is due to hit shelves in Spring 2026, marking an unexpected but interesting crossover for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
