It’s not just Deadpool and Batman that will be appearing in the upcoming Deadpool/Batman crossover between Marvel and DC this September — we’re also going to be getting a Jeff The Land Shark/Krypto crossover as well! Oh, and I guess Captain America and Wonder Woman will be hanging out, and Daredevil will get to meet Green Arrow, but… Jeff and Krypto, you guys. Let’s focus on the important stuff here.

Marvel Comics has released information about three of the back-up stories that will be accompanying the Zeb Wells and Greg Capullo Deadpool/Batman story in its crossover issue — DC will release its own Batman/Deadpool issue in November, by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora — and it’s a pretty stellar line-up so far:
- Daredevil and Green Arrow by Kevin Smith and Adam Kubert
- Captain America and Wonder Woman by Chip Zdarsky and Terry Dodson
- Jeff the Land Shark and Krypto by Kelly Thompson and Gurihiru
More stories will be announced in the coming weeks.
“This has been surreal to say the least!” Zdarsky said in a statement about the project. “Captain America and Wonder Woman are the best their worlds have to offer, both warriors for peace. Getting to explore a dynamic and history between them has been genuinely exciting."
“It's such an honor for Jeff to get to be Marvel's ambassador in this crossover story with Krypto,” added Thompson. “Anyone who loves comics knows how rare it is for DC and Marvel to crossover, so Jeff getting to be part of this historic moment with Krypto, and Gurihiru and I getting to bring that tale to readers... well, sometimes this job is very cool."

Marvel editor Mark Basso said in his own statement, “We’re going to all corners of the Marvel and DC Universes, and the creators are having an absolute blast finding the unexpected and unexplored connections between these characters. We can’t wait for the fans to experience the same jaw-dropping moments we are! And we’ve got some more secret stories in the works, so keep your eyes peeled for more to be revealed!”
Accompanying the back-up stories announcement were variant covers for the Marvel release, featuring Krypto/Jeff by Gurihiru, and Daredevil/Green Arrow, by Marco Checchetto.
Deadpool/Batman #1 will be released September 17.
