JoJo's Bizarre Adventure release schedule (updated April 2026): When the next chapter of The JoJoLands comes out, plus the next English release
The next chapter of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is coming in Japan, with new Steel Ball Run volumes hitting the US as well.

The ongoing epic of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is… well, bizarre, to say the least. The seventh anime season has begun, which also marks the start of a new era for the franchise with a new universe established in Steel Ball Run. However, the ninth manga storyline, titled 'The JoJoLands,' takes place over 100 years later in that universe. Nearly 40 years after the release of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the manga continues to maintain a steady release schedule.
How often do JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure chapters come out?
Typically, new chapters of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure are released in Japan every month in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine. Usually, the issue containing the new chapters is released in the middle of the month before the month on its cover. For example, Chapter 35 of 'The JoJoLands' was released in the April 2026 issue of Ultra Jump, which hit stores in Japan on March 19, 2026.
When does The JoJoLands 35 come out?
The next chapter of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga will be 'The JoJoLands' Chapter 35, which is set to be released on April 17, 2026 in the May 2026 issue of Ultra Jump. Because the release date for the magazine changes slightly month-on-month, we don’t always know exactly what the release date will be for future chapters, but we do know approximately when they’ll be out.
Upcoming JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure chapter release dates:
- April 17: The JoJoLands 35
- May TBD: Chapter 36
- June TBD: Chapter 37
- July TBD: Chapter 38
How many chapters of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure are there?

Every time that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure moves to a different storyline, the chapter numbers typically reset, which can make it difficult to figure out how many chapters of the manga have been released. The JoJoLands is the ninth storyline of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and the third to take place in the continuity established in Steel Ball Run. The JoJoLands Chapter 34 was Chapter 991 of the overall JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga.
Where can you read JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure?
If you’re an English-speaking fan, the upcoming JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure release date might not mean much to you since VIZ, the publisher of the English localization of the manga, is pretty far behind the Japanese release. Currently, you can read the first six parts of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure in English on the Shonen Jump app. This takes you through to the end of Stone Ocean. Steel Ball Run is currently being released on the app, but only half of it has been localized so far.
When is the next English release of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure?
With more than half of Steel Ball Run still to be released in English, there is plenty of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to come for Western fans. The most recent release in English was JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 7 – Steel Ball Run Volume 6, which was released on March 24, 2026 in the US. UK fans will have to wait until April 23, 2026 for the physical release of the volume.
The next JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure English release date will be when Steel Ball Run Volume 7 hits shelves on May 26, 2026
When is Netflix releasing the Steel Ball Run anime?
This one gets a little confusing. In 2025, Netflix announced it was releasing an anime adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7, titled Steel Ball Run. This was exciting for fans, since Steel Ball Run represents a huge change in the series thanks to the rebooted timeline. Steel Ball Run episode 1 was released on March 19, 2026. Shortly after, Netflix confirmed that a batch of episodes was coming later in the year, but didn’t specify when.
The result is that we don’t know when more JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime is coming, and it seems like there will be long gaps between episodes for an undisclosed reason.
