Marvel is teasing the end of its Miles Morales comic book in January
Is Marvel's Miles Morales: Spider-Man coming to an end at the same time as the Ultimate Universe books? We investigate

- Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion might be the most important Miles Morales comic in years [Spoilers!]
Marvel Comics has big plans in store for Miles Morales's Spider-Man. Evident in the miniseries Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, where (spoilers for issue #5) it was revealed that Miles Morales has memories of his experiences in the original Ultimate Universe, the current Ultimate Universe, on the mainline Earth-616. This makes him one of two characters with all of this knowledge - the other being The Maker.
I would imagine that that would be a pretty transformative experience for just about anyone. So with that in mind, it doesn't come as too surprising that Marvel is hinting at the end of the current Miles Morales: Spider-Man series written by Cody Ziglar. The solicit for issue #42 lists a "FINALE VARIANT COVER BY TAURIN CLARKE," which has us thinking that the issue will be, well, a finale for the series as a whole. The solicit is as follows:
THE ULTIMATE UNIVERSE COLLIDES WITH THE 616! Sometimes, it takes TWO SPIDER-MEN to do whatever a spider can. But Peter Parker and Miles Morales together might not be enough to overcome what archfoe RABBLE has in store! Don’t miss this epic grand finale to the Rabble saga!
Okay, so the solicit isn't saying "THIS IS THE END, FOLKS!" explicitly, it does say that issue #42 will be the "epic grand finale to the Rabble saga." Of course, the Rabble Saga began with Cody Ziglar and Federico Vicentini's Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1, so one would think that the entire run thus far has been the Rabble Saga, right?
Popverse has asked Marvel for confirmation, but received no response at the time of writing.
It's worth noting that Ultimate Black Panther #24, out in January, also has a "finale" variant cover (drawn by Marcos Martín). Ultimate Black Panther #24 will be the final issue of the series, hence why it has a "finale" variant to begin with. Is it safe to say that the same treatment is being applied to Miles Morales: Spider-Man? Who knows.
Clarke seemingly confirmed the end of the series on social media, although Marvel has yes to comment.
Miles Morales: Spider-Man #42 will be released on January 28, 2026.
