One of the big mysteries inside DC comics is who killed the Absolute version of Oliver Queen? One thing we know is that the killer is the star of the current Absolute Green Arrow series, and it's puzzling because... well, traditionally, Oliver Queen is the Green Arrow. As the first issue has sold out and been sent back to press and the 6-issue series is underway, a very cogent question is what would the classic Oliver Queen of the DC think of someone like the Green Arrow Killer of the Absolute U?
Besides the fact that, well, he killed him.

"I think mainline Ollie would hate him and fight to stop him," series writer Pornsak Pichetshote says in response to a fan question during an AMA on League of Comic Geeks. "But I also don't know how long mainline Ollie would last in the Absolute universe without becoming more similar to him."
That's not spoilers for who the Absolute Green Arrow Killer is, is it? In the books, he's primarily referred to by that name, but some people also simplify it to Green Arrow.

Pichetshoke also said that the first bit of the Absolute Green Arrow star's character that got formalized between him, DC Comics, and co-creator/artist Rafael Albuquerque is that "he'd be as unrelenting as Jason [Voorhees] or Michael Myers."
Pichetshoke has been with DC Comics on-and-off for over a decade, and says that what sets the Absolute DC books apart from DC's mainline universe is that the line "allows creators to modernize and update characters for the current times."
Get with the times, Oliver Queen. Or die trying... ?
Over $1.4 million in Absolute Green Arrow #1 pre-orders could open the door for the series to grow.
