Choose Your Own Adventure blasts onto comic shelves Summer 2026 with Space and Beyond!

From writer Jeremy Lambert, artist Dani Bolinho, and publisher Oni Press, the iconic Choose Your Own Adventure brand continues its foray into comic book territory with galactic getaway Space and Beyond

As a kid growing up in the 90s, there was nothing quite like the Choose Your Own Adventure books. Here was printed text that acted like a very early video game, providing the opportunity for a reader to influence the story based on their on gut instincts. The brand has come a long way in the decades since I was reading them, and now, Popverse is thrilled to announce the latest chapter in their long-running entertainment saga - Choose Your Own Adventure: Space and Beyond

Space and Beyond continues CYOA's exploits in the comic book medium. Now, if that name sounds familiar to you as a fan of the series, it should - the story began as a 1979 Choose Your Own Adventure novel of science fiction suspense, which was the fourth book in the original series. Penned by CYOA author R.A. Montgomery, the tale is being adapted for an actual far-flung future by the good folks at Oni Press.

Writing the story for the comic book format is The Night Mother scribe Jeremy Lambert, whose script will be turned into comics via the art of Dani Bolinho, who previously worked with Oni's CYOA offerings with the graphic novel Forecast From Stonehenge. The story is reported to have 44 different possible endings.

Choose Your Own Adventure: Space and Beyond will be available August 4, 2026. But in the meantime, we're giving you your own opportunity to change your fate by looking through this preview art, graciously provided by Oni Press, below.
