Spider-Man's potty mouth is canon, at least according to Batman (and occasional Spider-Man) writer Tom King
Tom King reveals he’s on a crusade to write Spider-Man dialogue about poop, as can be seen in the upcoming Superman/Spider-Man #1 from DC Comics

Every comic book fan has their favorite Spider-Man line, and for me, it's "Ah, poop." That's the one line of dialogue that the Wall Crawler has in Tom King and Michael Walsh's run on The Vision from 2015, and it's a legacy that the writer was adamant about upholding with the upcoming crossover comic, Superman/Spider-Man #1.
On the Word Balloon podcast, Tom King revealed the machinations behind his decision to give Spider-Man his "Ah, poop" line. When asked how much Spider-Man he had written before coming to work on a story in Superman/Spider-Man #1, King proudly said, "I have written Spider-Man for all of one panel in Vision, ten years ago. He says, 'Ah, poop,' so I've written one line." This took place in The Vision #11.

As it turns out, Spidey's "Ah, poop" from The Vision would not be the final "Ah, poop" of his comic book lore. King revealed that he had Spider-Man say it again in Superman/Spider-Man, for tradition's sake. "And an editor who would not go named was like, 'Spider-Man would never say Ah, poop' And I said, 'Au contraire mon frère, he has said Ah, poop before.' And I pulled up my Vision and I was like, '10 years ago, this man said Ah, poop.' That was quite a triumph for me to return to his cliched roots of poop," King said with a laugh. Reject modernity, embrace roots of poop.
That's the beauty of King's writing. Whether it's "Ah, poop" or any one of the beautiful lines from books like Mister Miracle and Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, I enjoy them all. Hopefully, for Spidey's sake, he'll be saying a lot more than just "Ah, poop" in Superman/Spider-Man #1 (though I wouldn't be opposed to an entire Spider-Man comic where he just says "Ah, poop" like he's in a Meisner repetition acting exercise). I'll stop things here before I start throwing in poop jokes.
Superman/Spider-Man #1 will fly into comic book shops on March 25, 2026.
