Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse brings the hit game to comics, courtesy of Oni Press and developers Devolver Digital

Following both a social media tease and quasi-announcement at industry event ComicsPro in February, Oni Press has officially unveiled its comic book publishing program for video game phenomenon Cult of the Lamb, with the first release now available for pre-order on Kickstarter.
The first part of what is being described as an “ongoing publishing program” will be a full graphic novel by Alex Paknadel and Troy Little titles Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse, which has already blown through its goal on Kickstarter. (As I type these words, it’s currently at 13x the original goal, which is saying something.) The pre-order campaign offers multiple editions of the book — including an exclusive softcover, a version as single comic book issues, and a new hardcover with foil embellishments, featuring art by the game’s key artist and concept designer Carles Dalmau.
Additionally, the pre-order campaign offers exclusive limited edition merchandise, including posters, apparel, and original art.

Cult of the Lamb debuted in 2022, and has since grown into a property with millions of fans worldwide, eager to follow the adventures of Lamb — a resurrected cult leader luring followers to their doom with the help of supernatural powers from an ancient deity. The game has been nominated for a number of awards, winning Best Indie Game from the Golden Joystick Awards and Game of the Year from the Gayming Awards, and recently released the DLC expansion Cult of the Lamb: Sins of the Flesh.
Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse is available to pre-order on Kickstarter through April 11.
