The announcement was made at CinemaCon 2024

Over the past decade, Damien Chazelle has secured his spot as a Hollywood darling as much as any director could wish, with critically-lauded movies like Whiplash, La La Land, and (the admittedly audience-dividing) Babylon. At Paramount's presentation at CinemaCon 2024, Paramount announced that Damien Chazelle's next film, still untitled, will debut in movie theaters in 2025. There were no details announced yet about what the movie will be about, its cast, or its exact release date... but at least we have a vague idea when to expect it.
Damien Chazelle and regular co-producer Olivia Hamilton (who also happens to be Chazelle's wife) signed a first-look deal with Paramount in 2022.
