Ally Financial, Milestone Media, DC, and Warner Bros. Discovery have just shared images of a new paint scheme for the Ally-sponsored No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE (the companies didn't specify the year of the vehicle) in support of the Milestone Initiative, which was announced in 2021 as a collaboration between Ally, DC, Milestone Media, and Warner Bros. Discovery to train the next generation of comics creators from Black and diverse backgrounds.

No. 48 (which was previously driven by Jimmie Johnson) will be raced by driver Alex Bowman at Atlanta Motor Speedway on July 10. Bowman will also be sporting a custom fire suit and hand-painted helmet with the Milestone theme. The car's designers incorporated iconic superhero Static's electrical powers into the overall theme, showcasing his electric powers on the hood, but also bringing electric details to the fire suit and painted helmet too. The art depicting Static is repurposed from a Static Season One #1 variant cover by Oliver Coipel, though that credit is not mentioned in the press release.

Bowman shared “Ally does a really good job of bringing the NASCAR community together and having Static on the car is another way Ally is doing it right… I think it is really neat to have a superhero on the No. 48 Ally Chevy at Atlanta and to be able to help with Ally’s goal of making NASCAR more inclusive is a unique opportunity that I am proud to be a part of.” Bowman owns seven career NASCAR Cup Series victories, with the latest win just this year in 2022.
