In many ways, Deadpool & Wolverine is X-Men: Endgame.

In the second major trailer for Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth has a simple mission: save 20th Century Fox's X-Men Cinematic Universe. In MCU terms, Marvel Studios' big boss Kevin Feige is the Thanos of it all, snapping to kill an entire half of the wider Marvel movies - and Deadpool is jumping across continuities to save the universe he calls home.

In many ways, Deadpool & Wolverine is X-Men: Endgame.

Take a look:

While the Kevin Feige AI from She-Hulk doesn't make an appearance in the Deadpool & Wolverine footage releasesd so far, he's definitely around - just check out the copious meta references to him in the movie. But as maligned as the X-Men cinematic universe is (compared to the MCU), we're not sure if he's the villain or the hero in all of this.

Deadpool & Wolverine opens in theaters July 26, 2024.
