Among Netflix's many hit shows, few have been more popular in recent years than Emily in Paris, starring Lily Collins. Fans are eager to learn everything about season 4, especially when it's coming out. We have some answers for you here, but be warned: you'll have to wait a bit longer.
Despite the mixed reviews and divisive audience reception, Emily in Paris was Netflix's most popular comedy series of 2020, and that's before it gained bigger traction and a dedicated following with the second and third seasons. The series follows the titular Emily, a marketing executive from Chicago who's hired to offer an American perspective for the fictional French firm Savoir. After season 3's cliffhanger-heavy finale, it's only reasonable that devotees are dying to learn more about the fourth volume of episodes, including its tentative release window.
When is Emily in Paris season 4 coming to Netflix?
There is no official release date for Emily in Paris season 4 yet. However, we know the show began filming in both Italy and France starting January 15, 2024.
The actors and writers strikes understandably delayed the production start date, plus the series' main location puts the streamer on a strict timeline, as from June to September, all shoots and productions will have to stop in the French capital city, which is going to host the 2024 Olympic Games.
If main photography wraps up before summer, the fourth season of the show could be well on its way to release before the end of the year or early 2025, as it's not an effects-heavy series.
What will Emily in Paris season 4 be about?
Without getting into major season 3 spoilers, we know the drama will only ramp up in season 4, with Emily's life taking unexpected turns, including a Rome-bound holiday and hard choices regarding what Emily wants and needs moving forward.
Emily in Paris creator Darren Star has also given some hints in recent interviews without revealing exact plot points: "Season 4 is going to be more about navigating complicated relationships; personal relationships and work relationships, and how they come into conflict with each other."
