The cast of Critical Role Campaign 4 answer: Which Dimension 20 campaign would you want to be a part of?

Dimension 20 creator Brennan Lee Mulligan has stepped up as the Critical Role Campaign 4 GM - now which of his previous campaigns do his current players wish they could join?

Critical Role Campaign 4 is the first core campaign in the actual play's history to recruit a non-Matt Mercer GM, and you have to give them this: they knew where to look. Dimension 20 creator and usual GM Brennan Lee Mulligan has brought an all-new playstyle to the old and new Critical Role casand it's hard not to wonder - what if their situations were reversed? What would it be like if the Rolers made their way over to Brennan's table, instead of the other way around?

Well now we have an answer. Multiple, in fact.

Those answers come from Awesome Con 2026, where Critical Role Campaign 4 cast members Alexander Ward, Taliesin Jaffe, Whitney Moore, Sam Riegel, and Luis Carazo were giving fans a window into their world via an audience Q & A. At one point, one of the attending Critters asked each citizen of Aramán where they'd best fit in a Dimension 20 campaign, and before we give you their answers, let us just remind you that if you see anything you're not familiar with, you can always learn about it in Popverse's Dimension 20 campaign explainer.

Anyway...

It was Weird Kids host Taliesin Jaffe that answered first, telling fans that "The Candy Kingdom really rocks my world."

"Candy Kingdom for sure," agreed Moore, "For sure."

"I can't be in the Candy Kingdom," said Ward, "I would just be Lord Licorice. There's no other option."

"I want to be in Fantasy High," admitted Carazo, "I want to be a mean girl in high school so bad."

"I think I'm in fantasy high, too," Ward continued, "I'd really want to do that. That'd be very fun."

At this point, reader, you probably realize that only one person in the cast had yet to give their answer. So which Dimension 20 campaign does Sam Riegel want to be a part of? Well, prepare for disappointment.

"I don't watch our show," said Scanlan Shorthalt himself, "So you know I've never seen any of their show. I don't watch this stuff; it's really nerdy."

Dimension 20 season 30, City Council of Darkness, is streaming now on Dropout. There's never been a better time to start, Sam.

With two animated series on Prime Video, Campaign 4 in full swing, and so much more Exandrian lore to come, Critical Role is showing no signs of slowing down. That's why the adventuring party at Popverse are here to bring you everything we can from those nerdy-ass voice actors & Bo., including:

...and much, much more. Roll initiative, player. Magic awaits.
