The Critical Role cast agrees: Out of every Campaign, Exandria Unlimited: Calamity is most deserving of a TV show
"It's some of the the best storytelling we've ever had" - says Travis Willingham, who just happens to play Calamity's fan-favorite birdperson Cerrit Agrupnin

You've thrilled at the Campaign 1 adaptation The Legend of Vox Machina, wept at Campaign 2's The Mighty Nein, but according to the Critical Role cast, their most deserving campaign still has yet to get its proper TV series adaptation. And fascinatingly, the campaign in question isn't one of the core four at all, but the prequel spinoff miniseries that introduced Brennan Lee Mulligan to the world of Critical Role - Exandria Unlimited: Calamity.
OG Rolers Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Marisha Ray, Ashley Johnson, Liam O'Brien, and Sam Riegel took recently took part in a chat for YouTube channel Fall Damage, in which the voice actors read 'hot takes' from fans across the internet. One take that turned out not to fit that bill, though, was the idea that "Calamity is the CR property most deserving of a TV show."
"Correct," said Riegel, "This is true."
"It's some of the the best storytelling we've ever had," agreed Willingham, "Some of the the best characters and twists and turns. [...] if our audience feels the same, they should make it known. Get loud. Use social media. We would kill to make this into a TV show, movie, miniseries, anything like that. So, if the fans want it, they should start a petition, get 50,000 signatures, and we'll send it we'll send it to the US government for approval."
Willingham is probably joking here (we don't know his relationship with the CIA, though, so we don't want to presume), but Calamity fans getting vocal about what they want is a very real desire for the cast right now. Thanks to ECCC '26, we know that there's a Calamity movie in development, so any online support for more could go a long way in helping potential studios foot the bill.
Even if that means supporting a take that's not exactly hot.
