Need a last-minute costume? Critical Role and Spirit Halloween have you covered
Just in time for Samhain, two of the most popular characters from Critical Role's Mighty Nein are getting the Spirit Halloween treatment. Hope you like dressing as a tiefling

If I've learned anything from being at comic cons across the country, it's that Critical Role cosplay is not so much an annual event, but a lifestyle. That said, not every Critter has the time or resources to make their own, say, Jester Lavorre outfit, and with Halloween just a few days away, folks wishing to embody their favorite Exandrians might have to look for professional costumers for aid.
But no need to roll investigation here, loyal Popverse reader, we'll just tell you - Spirit Halloween is officially in the business of Critical Role costumes.
Specifically, the world's favorite store that exists because of other stores going under is carrying two new items tailored (literally!) to Critters for the Samhain season. First up, as we mentioned earlier, is beloved chaos creature Jester Lavorre, famously played by Laura Bailey. And then, for more masc-presenting TTRPG fans, there's Mollymauk Tealeaf, played in Campaign 2 by Taliesin Jaffe.
It doesn't take the most experienced Critter to see the similarities between the two costumes. Firstly, they're both tiefling in race, and have the felt tails to prove it. By visiting the Spirit Halloween store, you'll also find that both costumes run you about $150, not counting shipping, and do not come with the makeup you'll need to get the characters' accurate skin color. Finally, I'm sure I don't have to tell you that both Molly and Jester come from Critical Role's Mighty Nein campaign, which will be debuting as an animated Amazon series just a few weeks after Halloween 2025.
So hey, if you're on the fence about grabbing one of these Halloween costumes, just remember - they also make pretty great attire for a Mighty Nein premiere party.
Speaking of, The Mighty Nein season 1 will debut on Prime Video on November 19.
With two animated series on Prime Video, Campaign 4 in full swing, and so much more Exandrian lore to come, Critical Role is showing no signs of slowing down. That's why the adventuring party at Popverse are here to bring you everything we can from those nerdy-ass voice actors & Bo., including:
- Critical Role release schedule
- Critical Role's Campaign 4 characters ranked
- How to watch Critical Role in order
- Ways for you to relive the Critical Role panel from ECCC '26
- Taliesin Jaffe on playing Mollymauk Tealeaf for Campaign 2 vs. playing him for Prime Video
- Matt Mercer's homebrew warrior class (created originally for Vin Diesel)
...and much, much more. Roll initiative, player. Magic awaits.
