Magic: The Gathering lets you vanquish Peter Parker for good with a card featuring Spider-Man No More! art

I suppose I have more in common with Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson than I’d like to admit. We’re both journalists and think that Spider-Man is a menace. And I’m willing to bet that both of us would like to exile Peter Parker if we ever got the chance.

Now, our chance has come in the form of a Magic: The Gathering card called Path to Exile. As part of MTG’s crossover with Marvel’s Spider-Man, the card features the cover art from the iconic Amazing Spider-Man #50 issue that contains the story, “Spider-Man No More!” With Path to Exile, you can exile one of your opponent’s creatures. Take a look at the card below.

The cover of The Amazing Spider-Man #50 was drawn by John Romita, Sr., who has drawn some of the most recognizable Spidey artwork in Marvel Comics history. Magic: The Gathering’s set has spotlit some of Romita, Sr.’s art, as they should. It wouldn’t be a proper Spidey set without him represented in some way.

Magic: The Gathering x Marvel’s Spider-Man will be released on September 26, 2025
