Marvel Snap waited until the end of Pride month to release a new code celebrating some iconic LGBTQ+ Marvel characters

We're not sure why the new Marvel Snap code didn't come out until Pride Month was almost over

As the calendar flips over and we descend into a busy July, we are forced to leave June and Pride Month behind us. Marvel Snap developers Second Dinner have waited until the final week of June to give us one final present – a new code to celebrate the wonderfully diverse cast of Marvel Comics.

We’re not entirely sure why Second Dinner waited until June 24 to announce their new Pride-themed giveaway. The announcement came via social media, where Marvel Snap confirmed exactly what players would get for redeeming the latest Marvel Snap code PRIDE2025.

The Marvel Snap freebies on offer for Pride Month are:

  • Iceman Envar Studio Variant
  • Angela Pride Variant
  • Sera Pride Variant
  • 1 Blue Ice Border
  • 1 Rainbow Cosmic Border

We can’t really guess why the Marvel Snap Pride 2025 giveaway happened so late in Pride Month. The cynic in us wants to blame it on a politically charged environment that has made it somewhat fraught for companies to openly celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, but, if that were the case, they wouldn’t have released anything at all. So it seems more likely that Second Dinner simply had a lot on their plate and had to push the code out before the end of June.

This marks the third new code for Marvel Snap so far in 2025, which is remarkable only because it had previously gone more than a year without releasing any promo codes. Perhaps they’re finding that a steady stream of new cards and seasons isn’t quite enough to keep fans coming back every month, so they’re tossing a few freebies our way.

We can't give you extra life, but we can keep you appraised of all the Marvel Snap codes currently available - updated weekly! - as well as the rarest Marvel Snap cards.
