Digital platform GlobalComix is continuing to expand its reach, with the news that it has reached an agreement with indie publisher TKO Studios to add its back catalog and upcoming releases to the service.

The LA-based publisher has been in existence since 2018, releasing multiple titles by creators including Garth Ennis, Jeff Lemire, Erica Henderson, Roxane Gay, Gabriel Walta, and many more. Beyond an aggressive publishing program that saw titles released simultaneously in serialized and collected editions directly to readers and comic shops, the publisher has also bucked convention with a development deal with New Regency that gives New Regency the right to develop any TKO property for television. (One of the first projects in the works? Roxane Gay and Ming Doyle’s crime drama The Banks.)

In a statement, GlobalComix CEO Christopher Carter said, “We are thrilled to welcome TKO Studios and their full library to GlobalComix. Their commitment to high-quality storytelling and innovative distribution models aligns perfectly with our mission to empower creators and bring exceptional content to readers everywhere. Together, we look forward to pushing the boundaries of the publishing industry and delivering unforgettable experiences to our audience.”

TKO Studios CEO Salvatore Simeone added, “TKO Studios is proud to partner with GlobalComix to bring our bestselling graphic novels to new audiences.”

TKO is the latest publisher to be added to the GlobalComix platform, following in the footsteps of Papercutz, AWA Studios, Top Cow Productions, and Humanoids. The company has been in existence since 2017, but since the beginning of 2023, GlobalComix reports a 50% increase in user accounts, as well as the addition of more than 4,000 issues to its platform; it has also announced an open call for beta testing for the app, coming this Spring. Last year, GlobalComix also announced plans to launch a print-on-demand comic book production service.

The complete TKO Studios catalog is now available on GlobalComix’s website, with new releases Sacred Lamb and Witches of World War II scheduled for April release.
