Their names have been at the top of the New York Times Bestseller lists and on whatever streaming service you call your favorite, but if you were at BookCon 2026, the names of Andy Weir, Emily St. John Mandel, Robinne Lee, and May Cobb were in the description of one of the most hotly-anticipated talkback panels of the convention: Page to Screen.
The minds behind Project Hail Mary, Exit Party, The Idea of You, & the Hunting Wives (respectively) spoke for a full hour on the experience of having their work adapted to a non-prose format, and since you know Popverse is a fan of all those projects, you won't be surprised to learn we filmed their conversation.
This is one of the many Bookcon 2026 panels Popverse filmed at New York City's Javits on the Hudson.. Consult our Bookcon 2026 panel hub for a list of all of the panels we have available, and what's left to be released.
