Man bites Earth, Earth bites back: A fictionalized post-apocalypse as reported in a real-life newspaper in The End Times

In many ways, journalism acts as a narrator to the world around us - and a novel new project is looking to use that to narrate the end of the world. Fictionally, of course. Imagine a newspaper being published as the world comes crashing down around us - and being able to read it, page by page, edition by edition. Its name is the End Times, a double entendre playing on the proclivity for newspapers to have the word 'Times' in the name and the fact that the end of the world is often called 'The End Times.' It's brought to us by author Benjamin Percy, who we know of best for his five-year run as writer on Wolverine for Marvel Comics.

"As the world struggles to begin again—years after a pandemic wipes out most of the population—a woman finds meaning as a writer and editor when she revives an old printing press and begins publishing a small-town newspaper," reads a description of the End Times from publisher Bad Hand Books.

Percy describes the End Times as "a cross between Our Town and Station Eleven," with its delivery method as an actual newspaper, making it the epitome of experimental - and like any good newspaper, there's even a comic strip to go along with the articles and ads.

You can get a physical subscription to the End Times for $35 for all 12 issues, with a plan to release them monthly to a maximum of 500 subscribers. Percy and Bad Hand Books also plan to deliver a digital subscription to your inbox if you like. Details over at the Bad Hand Books website
