There's a Captain America: Brave New World display at MCM x EGX - and Cap's shield has a big difference from its MCU appearances so far
Cap's shield has a new look to it in this new Captain America: Brave New World marketing display at MCM x EGX 2024.
Popverse's top stories of the day
- Denzel Washington has a role in Marvel's Black Panther 3, which will be one of the actor's last before retirement (if it gets greenlit)
- Oscar Isaac would *love* to do Ru Paul's Drag Race, and even has his drag name already picked out
- How Lego Masters plays with the building blocks of reality TV
Ahead of its debut in theaters in February 2025, Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World is showing off its costumes at London's MCM x EGX 2024. The fourth Cap film is the first for Anthony Mackie-as-Captain America after ascending to the role at the end of The Falcon & Winter Soldier, and the display shows off his costume, along with his shield - even noting it was previously owned by Steve Rogers.
One thing of note - the Cap shield is much shinier here than in the movies or TV show. We're unsure if that's a difference between this display version and what's MCU, or if it's spoilers for a shinier Cap shield in the MCU.
While Marvel Studios doesn't have an official booth or panel at MCM x EGX 2024, those from the franchise are here - Stanley Tucci (who played Abraham Erskine in Captain America: The First Avenger) and the Russo Brothers (who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier) are here Saturday to talk about their new film, Netflix's The Electric State.
Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters on February 14, 2025.
Here's how to watch all of Captain America (Sam Wilson)'s MCU appearances in order.
