Even before New York Comic Con 2024 got officially underway, the movers and shakers in the comic book industry were there as part of ReedPop’s first-ever NYCC Retailer Day, discussing the ins-and-outs of what it takes to actually work in comics retail, and how to make that experience better for everyone.
As part of that day’s programming, a group of retailers held court as part of the Cultivating the Customer Experience panel, which promised to “discuss how to create an experience for your customers that leaves them wanting more." In that comic store owners Shannon Live (Bat City Comics Professionals in Brandenton, Florida), Jen Michel (Megabrain Comics of Red Hook, New York), Max Eriksen (E-Town Comics in Hardin County, Kentucky), and Jeff and Django (The Comics Place of Bellingham, Washington) talked about what it takes to survive and thrive by being what comics readers need in their area.
Popverse was there, and what’s more, we filmed the panel — and now we’re sharing it with you. Watch the Cultivating the Customer Experience panel from New York Comic Con 2024’s Retailer Day:
