Who says haunted houses have to be quiet?

They certainly won't be in the case of the Loud family, stars of the Nickelodeon animated series Loud House. Typically theirs is a house full of laughter, but this summer, expect screams as The Loud House Spooky Special comes to cbook stores and comic stores everywhere.

This won't be the first time that publisher Papercutz (recently acquired by Mad Cave Studios) will be putting out a Loud House comic, however, it is the first time they're delving into the supernatural, or at least, spooky side of the Loud House world. In a press release, the publisher promised "scares, thrills, chills and brouhaha to tickle all funny bones in this scary good celebration of all things spooky."

So just what can fans of the show expect from the book? Well, horror comic readers won't be suprised to learn that it's an anthology comic and regular viewers of the show won't be too shocked that it's Loud House's resident macabrist Lucy Loud leading the show. Papercitz teases an adventure in a haunted maze, a legendary Candy Goblin, and somthing called "The Nightmare on Franklin Street."

Sources do not specify whether Freddy Krueger will be appearing.

The Loud House Spooky Special is created and written by "the Loud House creative team" according to the publisher, without specifying who exactly.

Here is a preview of what's inside The Loud House Spooky Special:

The Loud House Spooky Special will debut July 2, and is available for pre-order now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bookshop.org.

Until then, the scariest thing to deal with is the wait.
