Sometimes the only thing stopping you from your goals are yourself. And for Marvel & Star Wars star Katy O'Brian, she had a novel way of getting the co-starring role in her next movie.

O'Brian stars alongside Kristen Stewart in the 2024 film Love Lives Bleeding, which just released its first trailer. The bodybuilding romance was announced in 2022 with Stewart onboard as the love interest, but the role of the bodybuilder wasn't taken. So O'Brian did what many actors might think of doing, but don't.

O'Brian replied to the movie news on Twitter, offering to do it (and included one of her bodybuilding photos).

This was before, however, O'Brian's MCU debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Star Wars: The Mandalorian, so her resume was a bit shorter than it is now. So what did she do next to secure her role?

O'Brian made a PowerPoint for the Love Lies Bleeding casting office, and impressed upon her agent her desire to do this film.

"...[I] told my agent to get me in or I’d riot," O'Brian says. "I had an audition, callback, chem read, coaching session, & 2 directors sessions before I was like you want me or not. Twas Werk but well worth it."
