Avengers: Doomsday screenplays didn't have endings, according to one of the movie's stars

The Fantastic Four's ever-lovin' Thing, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, shed light on the chaos of shooting Avengers: Doomsday

It's all hands on deck when shooting a movie as big as Avengers: Doomsday. And for Ebon Moss-Bachrach, the actor behind The Thing in the MCU's Fantastic Four team, it was sometimes tough to know what, exactly, was going on at any moment.

On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Ebon Moss-Bachrach opened up about the jump from filming shows like The Bear or even The Fantastic Four: First Steps to a full-fledged Avengers movie. "[Marvel] movies are so interstellar and so galactic and conceptual, so it's very hard sometimes to understand what's going on in the story. And Doomsday was a little bit harder for me to hold all of the parts," Moss-Bachrach began. "I mean I knew where I was, I knew which planet, which universe I was in, but how it was connecting to other universes, I would have to go, 'Joe [Russo, co-director], I know you've talked me through [this], can you just tell me one more time?'"

Given how cagey Marvel Studios is about potential spoilers or leaks, did Moss-Bachrach have the chance to read the entire script of Avengers: Doomsday? "I did read a full script. But those scripts change quite a bit," Moss-Bachrach said before pausing and reflecting, "It probably didn't have a full third act. I don't think it had an ending, I don't think anyone gets to see that stuff."

Perhaps shooting an Avengers movie is like living life. You're there with hundreds of other people, all trying to make it through the day, with little idea of where it's all headed. None of us knows how our story is going to end.

Okay, maybe that's a bit dark, but you can catch my drift.

We'll see what Avengers: Doomsday's ending actually is when it hits theaters on December 18, 2026. Well, in that any movie that has a sequel coming a year later will have an ending, at least.
