The DC Universe is about to get a little bit bigger in DC Studios' second 2026 movie. In the upcoming movie Clayface, Tom Rhys Harries will play the role of the Batman villain who pretty much always on the verge of melting down (literally). So, when will the theatrical release date for Clayface arrive?
The Clayface release date is October 23rd, 2026 in theaters. The movie was originally scheduled to be released on September 11th, 2026, but the release date was pushed back because the movie's horror genre tone makes it an ideal Halloweentime movie. Of course there are plenty of other movies for you to look forward to this autumn, as well... but if Batman-centric body horror feels your thing, here's the official teaser trailer for Clayface:
Clayface is the story of Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries), an actor whose face is disfigured by a gangster. Desperate for solutions, Hagen turns to scientist Dr. Caitlin Bates (Naomi Ackie). It is her experimental procedure that transforms Hagen into the titular supervillain Clayface. Meanwhile, Max Minghella plays a Gotham City detective who is dating Bates. Additional cast members include Nacy Carroll, David Dencik, Joshua James and Eddie Marsan in undisclosed roles.
The release date for Clayface in theaters is October 23rd, 2026.
