Director Alex Garland's movie adaptation of Elden Ring is shaping up, and the British filmmaker is eying Kit Connor to lead the charge.

Variety reports that Alex Garland is looking to reunite with Kit Connor, who starred in Garland's film Warfare earlier this year. Garland will be writing and directing Elden Ring for A24 and Bandai Namco, putting yet another medievalist feather in the cap of A24 after The Green Knight starring Dev Patel.

It's also not known at this time what character classes Garland is thinking of using in his Elden Ring film. Like any good RPG, there are several classes to choose from when creating your character in the beginning of the game. Personally, I'm partial to the Prisoner class because I think there's something cute about the little helmets that they wear. But I can't imagine that the Prisoner helmet would be particularly comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Which class will Garland choose to lead his story with? Only time will tell.

In case you're not familiar, Elden Ring is one of the most difficult but critically acclaimed video games of all time. Developed by FromSoftware and released by Bandai Namco in 2022, Elden Ring captured the hearts, minds, and psychic limits of gamers everywhere as they had to crawl their way through dungeons in a story written by George R. R. Martin. Needless to say, Garland's Elden Ring film is going to be one of the most anticipated video game adaptations in quite some time.
