The trailer for Evil Dead Burn will give you kitchen nightmares for life (No, not the Gordon Ramsey show)

Evil Dead Rise brought out our fears of cheesegraters, and now Evil Dead Burn will make you terrified of dishwashers

Evil Dead Rise struck the fear of cheese graters into the hearts of Evil Dead fans everywhere, and now the trailer for Evil Dead Burn is here to do the same for you, but with dishwashers.

The film is directed by Sébastien Vaniček and written by Vaniček and Florent Bernard, and centers on a family reunion from hell. If you've ever thought you had a dysfunctional family, then you can take solace in the knowledge that none of your family gatherings have ever been this bad (hopefully). Take a look at the red band trailer here (we'd embed it but it's age-restricted and therefore doesn't embed), which doesn't skimp on the gore.

The official logline for the film is as such: “After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites — turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell — she comes to discover that the vows she took in life… live on even in death.”

Evil Dead Burn stars Souhelia Yacoub as Alice, who presumably is the "woman" mentioned above who goes to her in-laws' home. Yacoub is joined by a handful of Kiwi actors, Tandi Wright, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand, and Greta Van Den Brink, who round out the cast. The film was shot in New Zealand, which means I'm holding out hope that there will be a sequence that references the lawnmower scenes from Peter Jackson's gory classic, Dead Alive (known as Braindead in the US).

Evil Dead Burn will rush into theaters on July 10, 2026.
