Is there a love triangle brewing in Avengers: Doomsday? Pedro Pascal is tight-lipped about the inclusion of Namor in the film

Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm, and Namor are one of the most famous love-triangles in comic book history, so we're expecting some sparks to fly in Avengers: Doomsday.

It is one of the most famous love triangles in comic books and has been something that fans have been wondering about ever since the Fantastic Four were confirmed to be joining the MCU. Would Marvel bring in the tension between Reed Richards, Sue Storm, and Namor? All three are expected to share the screen in Avengers: Doomsday, but Pedro Pascal isn’t letting anything slip about the potential love triangle we’re all waiting for.

While promoting The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Pedro Pascal was asked about the fact that Tenoch Huerta Mejía has been confirmed as part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast as Namor. This sets up the potential for tension between Reed Richards and Namor, which has been part of the comics since 1962 when Namor first became infatuated with Sue Storm. While Namor has repeatedly pursued Sue romantically, she has generally spurned his advances while admitting that she feels at least some attraction to him, particularly when her husband becomes obsessed with a new work project.

“No comment,” Pascal said. “We’ll let the voters decide.”

It isn’t surprising that Pedro Pascal is tight-lipped about the plot of Avengers: Doomsday. The next massive crossover movie from the MCU is still being filmed, so a lot can change before its December 2026 release date. Plus, there are those pesky NDAs that actors sign to not spoil anything before the movie comes out. So long as Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby can’t say anything about the potential love triangle between Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and Namor, they’re probably going to be asked about it.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is out in cinemas now. Avengers: Doomsday will be released on December 18, 2026.
