Marvel's Ghost Rider is a one-man show, says Kevin Feige
When Ghost Rider heads into the MCU, it will be because Ryan Gosling had the vision and drive for the character.

Even though Marvel Studios seems fully focused on Avengers: Doomsday and its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, the foundation has been laid for 2028 and beyond for the MCU. One of the big titles that comes after the two Avengers films is Ghost Rider in 2028. Not content with just being the star, Ryan Gosling was apparently the driving force behind getting the MCU’s Ghost Rider movie off the ground, according to studio head Kevin Feige.
In a recent issue of Empire Magazine, Kevin Feige talked about how Ghost Rider has been shaped by Ryan Gosling from the very beginning. “It was Gosling who had the vision, it was Gosling who had the pitch that won over Shawn [Levy, director], that had them come and pitch us this idea… It is a great idea.”
Not that we want to accuse Kevin Feige of being biased or overhyping an MCU project, but we are very curious about what this “great idea” that Ryan Gosling had that brought both Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy and Marvel Studios on board for a Ghost Rider film. We’re hoping that it leans into the horror aspects of the character, but we’ll have to wait until 2028 before we see what Gosling is cooking up.
Ghost Rider wasn’t the only future Marvel Studios movie to be announced at SDCC this year. We also got Black Panther 3, which features the son of T’Challa taking on the mantle of Black Panther. But all of that has to wait until after the fallout from Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
