Vampires, zombies, and now Death Angels: Sinners star Jack O'Connell joins A Quiet Place Part III
Horror's new golden boy, Sinners and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple star O'Connell, joins lead Emily Blunt and director John Krasinski in the next installment in Paramount's A Quiet Place franchise

Jack O'Connell is dancing his way into our hearts... and into our nightmares. In just two years, O'Connell has been responsible for some of the most iconic horror villain performances in the past decade - that is, as Sinners' Remmick and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple's Jimmy Crystal. And now, the actor is boarding a new terror train, joining one of Paramount's biggest horror hits in A Quiet Place Part III.
The news comes to us via Deadline, who reported on O'Connell's casting March 17. The Sinners star will be joined by franchise newcomers Jason Clarke and Katy O’Brian as well as returning leads Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy plus the series co-creator, ex-star, and director, John Krasinsi.
Now let's not get ahead of ourselves - there's no guarantee that O'Connell will be playing another villain in the wrap-up to the (first?) Quiet Place trilogy. In fact, nothing is known about the plot of the upcoming movie save its above cast and tentative release date, all of which were partially announced by Krasinski himself via his social media.
"So proud to be a part of this #AQuietPlace family," wrote the Jack Ryan star on his Instagram, "Old and new! Here we go!"
One thing I will point out here - whatever role O'Connell ends up playing, it's extremely unlikely that he'll be stepping into a monsters' shoes as he did with the vampiric Remmick in Sinners. The villains of a Quiet Place are eyeless alien humanoids, after all, and even though we know his sight was partially impaired for the Ryan Coogler vampire Oscar-winner, we don't think production will spend all the hours to make him the first practical effect Death Angel of the Quiet Place franchise.
Unless, of course, the film calls for one of them to do a jig.
A Quiet Place Part III is slated for release July 30, 2027.
