Marvel’s Dafne Keen wants her X-23 to return as part of a team next

Dafne Keen hopes there are more stories to tell with Laura in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

In 2024 the Marvel Studios film Deadpool & Wolverine featured the return of Dafne Keen as Laura aka Wolverine’s clone X-23. The character hadn’t been seen since her introduction in the 2017 film Logan. At the time, it looked like Keen’s appearance was a ‘one and done,’ since Logan was meant to be the end of Wolverine’s story.

With the character’s reappearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, does this mean there’s a place for Laura in the MCU? Dafne Keen hopes so.

“I would just love to do anything with her,” Keen says during a panel at Calgary Expo 2025. “She’s one of my favorite characters to play. I think she worked really well in teams, if you know what I mean. I would love to, but I am happy I got to come back. Hopefully I get to do it again. If not, I’m happy with what I had.”

Hmmmm….what team could Keen be talking about? Marvel Studios is currently assembling their own Young Avengers team, but she might be too old for that. We are getting a rebooted X-Men…eventually. Of course, I’d also love to see Laura fight alongside the Avengers.

As long as we get more X-23 in the MCU, I don’t care what team she’s on. Hey Kevin Feige, is it too late to add Dafne Keen to Avengers: Doomsday?
