Supergirl crashes into trouble and a new trailer ahead of her June DC Studios movie
The first full trailer for the next DC Studios movie leans into the tragedy at the heart of Supergirl's story

The movie hits theaters in a few months, so it’s time for the first official trailer for DC Studios’ Supergirl, giving audiences more of a clue about what lies ahead for the Woman of Tomorrow — and just what fans can expect from the first real glimpse into a wider DC Universe, post-Superman.
Technically, this is the second trailer for the movie, but December’s sneak peek was officially a “teaser” as opposed to a full trailer. Certainly, this new trailer builds on the tone established in that first trailer, while also underscoring the essential sadness hidden inside Supergirl's origin: it's one thing for Superman to have lost Krypton when he was a baby, but Supergirl watched it happen as a teen, which is definitely the kind of thing that would leave its mark. What becomes of the broken-hearted, indeed. Watch the new trailer:
Inspired by Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s acclaimed Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic book series, Supergirl is written by Ana Nogueria and directed by I, Tonya’s Craig Gillespie. Milly Alcock stars as the eponymous hero, next to Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Mattias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, and Jason Momoa making his debut as Lobo, the main man who definitely seems well-positioned to steal the movie if no-one’s paying attention. (Krypto returns as himself, of course, because who doesn’t love that adorable CGI dog?)
Supergirl will fly into theaters June 26, 2026.
