Tron: Ares release date - Jeff Bridges and a new cats of players take on an AI that's made it into our world
It's Ares season. But in the Tron way, not the "you should expect conflict at work" way. Then again...

Over 40 years after the first film redefined the cyberpunk genre for moviegoers, audiences are being invited back to the world of Tron in this fall's Tron: Ares. But unlike previous films, some of this one will be taking place outside of the titular game and in our own reality, as a dangerous AI (the titular Ares) breaks out of its virtual prison and takes the battle to humanity.
And yes, it's taking a light cycle with it. Check out the trailer for more.
Pretty wild, right? Expect to see a whole lot more of that when Tron: Ares comes to theaters October 10. In case you didn't know, the evil AI in question will be played by Jared Leto, and I'm just gonna leave it to you to decide how to interpret that. What's not up for interpretation, however, is that Jeff Bridges will be returning as the character of Kevin Flynn, who's kind of like the Neo of Tron.
If Neo had more of a thing for beards.
