Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery release date: When Daniel Craig’s wily detective returns on Netflix

Benoit Blanc is returning for another whodunnit this winter.


Following on the heels of 2019’s Knives Out and 2022’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, a third movie featuring Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) will be arriving on Netflix soon: Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The third installment in the Knives Out movie series will see Blanc returning to solve yet another whodunnit. So when can you expect the release date for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery to arrive? And will the movie be playing in theaters as well?

The Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery release date is December 12, 2025 on Netflix. The movie will also be released in select theaters ahead of its Netflix debut, on November 26, 2025. Like the previous two movies in the series, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be a standalone mystery, and aside from Blanc, will feature an all-new cast of characters. Of course there are plenty of movies for you to look forward to in the months to come. Here’s the official teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery:

Just as with the previous two movies in the series, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery features a star-studded cast. In addition to Craig as Blanc, the movie will also feature Josh O’Connor as Rev. Jud Duplenticy, Glenn Close as Martha Delacroix, Josh Brolin as Msgr. Jefferson Wicks, Mila Kunis as Geraldine Scott, Jeremy Renner as Dr. Nat Sharp, Kerry Washington as Vera Draven, Andew Scott as Lee Ross, Cailee Spaeny as Simone Vivane, Daryl McCormack as Cy Draven, Thomas Haden Church as Samson Holt and Jeffrey Wright as Langstrom. In a classic “impossible” locked-door mystery, Blanc must determine who murdered Wicks, who was inside a closed concrete box when he died.
