Orphan Black: Echoes teaser trailer offers a first look at Krysten Ritter in action

The teaser for the sequel spinoff promises "a totally unique copy of the original."

Exciting news, Clone Club! A new teaser trailer for Orphan Black: Echoes debuted on October 12, 2023 at New York Comic Con 2023. The teaser for the spinoff sequel to Orphan Black features a look at Krysten Ritter (Marvel's Jessica Jones) in action as Lucy in the upcoming 10-episode sci-fi thriller, which Ritter also executive produces.

Also announced today were three additional cast members who will appear in Orphan Black: Echoes. According to the press release, Rya Kihlstedt (One Mississippi) will play series regular Eleanor, "a brilliant, tough as nails neuroscientist who is deeply loyal to... her wife and their son." And James Hiroyuki Liao (The Dropout) will play series regular Darros, "an extremely powerful self-made billionaire with a troubled past." And finally, guest star Reed Diamond (Better Call Saul) will play "Tom, the former military, no-nonsense Head of Corporate Security for the Darros Foundation."

Ritter as Lucy

And as previously announced, Ritter will play Lucy, "a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world." She will be joined by Keely Hawes (Line of Duty) as "a perceptive but sensitive scientist who finds herself at odds with her own moral code." Amanda Fix (North of Normal) plays Jules, "a salty teen trying to find herself." And Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap) plays Lucy's boyfriend Jack, "a soft-spoken former army medic and single father."

While Orphan Black: Echoes was originally expected in 2023, the new teaser trailer also comes with a new date. Now, Orphan Black: Echoes is scheduled for release in 2024. For everything else we know about the upcoming series, check out Popverse's guide to how and where to watch Orphan Black.
