Star Wars Celebration 2023: The best cosplay from a galaxy far far away

If there’s one thing everyone knows about a galaxy far, far away, it’s that it’s filled with some impossibly well-dressed people. Whether it’s the capes of Cloud City, the smuggler chic of Tatooine, or even the fascistic military fashion of the Empire — to say nothing of the rural hoods of the Ewoks, or the retro glamor of droid detailing. It’s a good-looking franchise, Star Wars — which only makes it all the more attractive to legions of cosplayers. (That was a 501st Legion joke; you’re welcome.)

Here at Star Wars Celebration 2023, the cream of the Star Wars cosplay crop is on display each and every day, with some of the greatest fan recreations, tributes, and extrapolations to a galaxy’s worth of looks you could imagine showing up at the ExCel in London across the four-day event. Yes, these are the droids you’re looking for… and the Rebels, Imperials, Mandalorians, Jedi and countless other cosplays based on Star Wars characters, to boot.

Given Popverse’s love of all things cosplay — we even published a wishlist for SWC cosplay before the show! — it should come as no surprise that we’ve been keeping an eye out for cosplayers across the entire show so far. Here are some of our favorites so far.

We have big plans for Star Wars Celebration 2023; you can see what we’re going to be reporting on, live-blogging, and otherwise simply just amazed by right here.
