If you're keeping an eye on DC Studios news, the name of the game is Superman. Before the big new James Gunn Superman movie comes out in the summer of 2025, however, there's still some time to look back to Superman's past on the big screen by watching a new documentary following an important chapter of Superman history - on the big screen.
At CinemaCon 2024 on Tuesday afternoon, co-CEO of DC Studios Peter Safran announced that Christopher Reeve documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, which originally debuted at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, will get a theatrical release this fall.
Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story features exclusive never-before-seen interviews and footage from and about Christopher Reeve, following Christopher Reeve's life as it changed in the aftermath of his accident and how it led him to become a disibility rights activist. During the footage from the documentary shown at CinemaCon, there were excerpts of interviews with Reeve's wife, son, as well as actor Robin Williams.
Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story was directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui will debut in theaters September 2024.
