9-1-1 Season 9 release date: When the Angela Bassett & Jennifer Love Hewitt starring series returns to ABC

9-1-1 season 9 is en route to your television's location and is arriving this fall. The emergency response team series was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear. Set in Los Angeles, the show stars Angela Bassett and Jennifer Love Hewitt and follows the exploits of the city's emergency first responders. So when can you expect the release date for 9-1-1 season 9 on ABC to arrive?
The 9-1-1 season 9 release date is Thursday, October 9 at 8:00 Eastern/Pacific on ABC. The remaining episodes in the show's ninth season will continue to be released every week in that time slot. And the day after the episodes air on ABC, they'll be available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. It hasn't been too long since the previous season of 9-1-1 concluded in May 2025. And you'll want to keep your schedules handy, since 9-1-1 season 9 is just one of the many TV release dates to keep track of this fall.
On 9-1-1, Bassett plays Los Angeles Police Department patrol sergeant Athena Grant-Nash, while Love Hewitt plays 9-1-1 dispatcher Maddie Han. They're joined by Kenneth Choi as Howie “Chimney” Han, Ryan Guzman as Eddie Diaz, Aisha Hinds as Henrietta “Hen” Wilson, Gavin McHugh as Christopher Diaz and Oliver Stark as Evan “Buck” Buckley. And this year, fans of the series will definitely want to look forward to Thursday nights. After 9-1-1 debuts at 8:00, the new spinoff series 9-1-1: Nashville will follow at 9:00 Eastern/Pacific.
9-1-1 season 9 debuts on ABC on October 9.
