What time do A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episodes come out?

Unsurprisingly, HBO has reserved a primetime spot for its return to Westeros. A Knight of the Seven Kingdom episodes will drop Sunday nights at 10 PM EST, starting January 18. And that's for both HBO and HBO Max, by the way - so don't expect to get to see an episode earlier by choosing one over the other. On the other hand, this means that everyone's coming into the episodes at the same time and can, hypothetically, avoid spoilers?
If you've nothing else going on Sundays at 10, I mean.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms release schedule and titles

I'm of the (potentially unpopular) opinion that not every episode title a studio releases is a big clue as to it plot. Especially since, well, we already know what the plot of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is going to be, since its based on three George R.R. Martin-written novellas. Still, it's neat to see that the first episode shares a name with the first novella - likely the inspiration for this entire season - The Hedge Knight. Check out the rest of the episode titles and their release dates below.
Oh, and for the ones we don't know quite yet, don't worry - we'll be updating this list as soon as that info becomes available.
| A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode number | A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode title | A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode release date |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | The Hedge Knight | January 18, 2026 |
| 2 | Hard Salt Beef | January 25, 2026 |
| 3 | TBA | February 1, 2026 |
| 4 | TBA | February 8, 2026 |
| 5 | TBA | February 15, 2026 |
| 6 | TBA | February 22, 2026 |
How many episodes will A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms have?

Barring some surprise release of a secret episode, Conformity gate-style, there will be six episodes of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, as indicated above. Continuous Game of Thrones fans will note that this makes the series the shortest-scale Westeros adventure yet - typical Game of Thrones seasons lasted 10 episodes, while the two House of the Dragon seasons have consisted of 10 episodes and 8 episodes, respectively.
That said, the episode count of the final two seasons of Game of thrones were shortened to 7 and then 6, respectively, so there is precedent for a Westeros show to only feature six episodes.
Will there be a season 2 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms?

You can bet your finest steed that there will be A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2. The sophomore chapter of the series was officially confirmed all the way back in November of 2025, a full three months before season 1 premiered, over on Deadline. In case you haven't already gathered, the powers-that-be over at HBO have quite a bit of confidence in this here fantasy franchise. Which leads us to our final question...
How many seasons are planned for Knight of the Seven Kingdoms?

Alright, we're dipping into a little bit of speculation territory here, but not without evidence. As of this writing, HBO has only officially announced A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms seasons 1 and 2, however, the idea of a 3-season plan has been talked about by folks at HBO since 2023. Specifically, Francesca Orsi brought up the tri-season idea for the show with Deadline in an interview published May of that year.
If you've read through the Song of Ice and Fire novel series and its various offshoots, this might not come as a surprise to you - there are three novellas in the Tales of Dunk and Egg series, upon which A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is based. But if the show becomes extremely successful, we have to imagine HBO would at least consider expanding the story beyond what was written.
After all, they've done it before.
