Agatha All Along star Joe Locke auditioned 12 times for the Marvel show despite not knowing what project he was up for
"Untitled Marvel Show" was all Joe Locke knew about the Marvel Studios project he was auditioning for, which would eventually become Agatha All Along

There's an air of secrecy that hangs over Marvel Studios. Not unlike what Lucasfilm does for Star Wars, the studio keeps details about their future projects tightly under wraps. They might as well all exist within Odin's vault on Asgard, where they are guarded by The Destroyer.
In a recent conversation for Variety with Daredevil: Born Again actor Charlie Cox, Joe Locke shed light on ambiguity that hung over him as he was auditioning for Agatha All Along: "I did 12 auditions for 'Agatha.' I remember getting the first tape. I didn’t even know what it was at that point. It was just 'Untitled Marvel Show.' Before they gave me the part, I was like, 'If I don’t get it...'”
Locke, of course, played Wiccan on Agatha All Along, though it took several episodes of the show until his character's identity was finally confirmed. He's not the only Marvel Studios actor who auditioned blind. Meng'er Zhang told The Hollywood Reporter that she had seen a casting call for a woman who could speak Mandarin and English in a group chat she was in. She didn't find out until she was in auditioning with Simu Liu that she was being considered for Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings film. Secrecy, secrecy!
