Before joining Severance, Gwendoline Christie was obsessed with the show (and would study Adam Scott’s hair to see if it was a wig)

When Gwendoline Christie joined the cast of Severance, she was already familiar with the Apple TV+ thriller. Prior to getting her role as Lorne, Christie was hooked on the show…and Adam Scott’s hair.

“Obsessed with the show. And I was so angry I wasn’t in the show,” Gwendoline Christie says during an appearance at PaleyFest LA 2025. “I told Ben this, and I think I terrified him because I said it with such intensity, but I meant it and I mean it now. When I watched season one, my mind was blown by it. I would wait for my boyfriend to go to work, and then I would shut the curtains, and I would watch Severance at 11am on a Friday, and I would say to the dogs, ‘You’ve got to be quiet if you want to stay in the room.’”

Christie also revealed the obsession she had with Adam Scott’s hair. “And then I would watch it again, because I was obsessed with it. And then I got obsessed with Adam Scott’s hair. So, I watched Severance on an iPad, so I could take pictures with my iPhone and zoom in to see if I could see a wig line or a root line.”

Severance is currently streaming on Apple TV+. Come for the drama, stay for Adam Scott’s hair.
