Batman Caped Crusader Season 2 release date: When the world's greatest detective returns to Prime Video

The film noir-inspired animated series follows Bruce Wayne on his early adventures.

In the upcoming sophomore season of Batman: Caped Crusader, you can expect things to get even darker than they have been. Starring Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne, the noir-flavored animated show created by the legendary Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series) will be returning for Season 2 on Prime Video on July 31st, 2026.

Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 will be comprised of ten episodes, all of which will be available for streaming on July 31st. In addition to Wayne, the show also stars Michelle C. Bonilla as Renee Montoya, Krystal Joy Brown as Barbara Gordon, Eric Morgan Stuart as Jim Gordon and Jason Watkins as Alfred. The show's second season will delve more deeply into the 1930s versions of the familiar DC characters, and shows Batman at the "year one-and-a-half" phase of his career, advancing from the action of the first season. And a more polished Batman is a good thing, because Caped Crusader Season 2 is building towards a confrontation with an especially disturbing incarnation of the Joker.
