Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar shares training, laughs, and maybe a Twilight joke (?) with new slayer Ryan Kiera Armstrong
"Warrior 1 and 2," says Gellar of herself and new Buffy costar Armstrong, "We don’t sweat … we sparkle."

If you're worried that Hulu's new Buffy the Vampire Slayer won't kick as much ass as the original, don't be. Even though the series premiere date has yet to be revealed, its leads are already hard at work honing their creature-beating skills - but don't take our word for it. Buffy Summers herself, AKA Sarah Michelle Gellar, recently posted an update on her training alongside new slayer Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and not for nothing - it's the first time Buffy fans are getting to see the old and new generation of slayers kick ass together.
Gellar posted a video of her and Armstrong getting in shape for the series on her Instagram. In the video, Gellar and Armstrong (who will play new slayer Nova) lift weights, share a couple laughs, and strike some iconic poses certain to put fear into the heart of any creatures of the night that happened to be at the same gym.
"Warrior 1 and 2," Gellar captioned the video, "We don’t sweat … we sparkle."
Surely that has to be a Twilight reference, right? If not, would somebody mind getting on the phone and asking Sarah Michelle Gellar what else it could possibly be? And while you're at it, maybe ask her which character she thinks is Warrior 1...
Hulu's Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot currently has no release date. However, if you want to watch Gellar in action (albeit a very different kind of action), you can check out Dexter: Original Sin, currently streaming on Paramount+.
