Cape Fear Season 1 release date: When the star-studded psychological thriller series debuts on Apple TV

The show, inspired by the Martin Scorsese remake of the 1962 crime movie, stars Amy Adams, Javier Bardem and Patrick Wilson

Inspired by the classic remake directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg, a new incarnation of Cape Fear is coming to Apple TV soon. And the cast is nothing to sneeze at, as the show will feature performances by Amy Adams, Javier Bardem and Patrick Wilson. So, when can you plan on the release date for Cape Fear Season 1 on Apple TV?

The Cape Fear Season 1 release date is June 5th, 2026 on Apple TV. The first two episodes will debut on that date, with the remaining episodes of the ten-episode season being released on a weekly basis. As such, the season finale will debut on Apple TV on July 31st, 2026. Of course, Cape Fear Season 1 is just one of the many shows for you to watch in the months to come. Cape Fear stars Adams as attorney Anna Bowden and Wilson as attorney Tom Bowden, her husband. Meanwhile, Bardem plays Max Cady, a formerly incarcerated man who blames the Bowdens for concealing evidence that might have changed his fate. The show also stars CCH Pounder as Noa Toussaint, and features roles for Ron Perlman, Ted Levine and Patrick Fischler. Cape Fear Season 1 is based on the novel The Executioners by John D. MacDonald, as well as the previous cinematic adaptions of that novel from 1962 and 1991.
